I Need Reassurance…i’m Going To Prom Alone!?
I really wanted to go my junior year, but none of my friends did. I decided to buy a ticket anyway (no date) because I still wanted to go. Now only one or two of my friends are going, and they’re with different groups. I’m afraid of driving there and walking in alone. I don’t want to look like a creeper! Please help!

Listen to me very carefully!!
I’m 25 and have been single for 2 yrs now, witch means in order to live life and do the things you want you can’t stop living your life because no one is avail. to hang out with or go to the prom with.
Go alone have a good time, hold your head high! Mingle, dance don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise.
From my experience doing things alone is a lot more fun, trust me!
I have been to concerts, coffee shops, bars, events, and have been alone….. Look at it this way not everyone who has a “date” or “friends” is going to have a good time, Drama will happen someone will get in a fight, someone may be ditched, ya never know.. So just because your going alone you’ll get more respect by doing something out of the Norm, Be different stand out, dont follow the crowd

You can do it. You can walk in that place, head held high. You can go up and greet the other friends, stay a little while chatting to the group and then move onto the next group. I haven’t been to a prom, so i don’t know if they serve buffet style food. If they do, hang about there. Hang about the drinks area. People will talk to you if you look cool, calm and content with yourself. They will not talk to you if you look tense, uptight, worried. Relax, you will have a nice time. Its ok to go alone. If every party or prom had only couples and groups of people, how would anyone ever get to know new people? Best of luck.
